So, I'm ill again, fantastic. Simply a sinus infection or a cold or something, but it always makes the physical symptoms of EDS seem much more of a burden than they normally are (and they're normally quite a burden on everyone!). So, unlike me, especially on a Saturday, I've resigned myself to bed (and will probably stay here through Sunday too). I've just written an email to Myriam about today's events and that I'm feeling ill, I like to email her before I go to bed, if she's at work. Now it's time for painkillers, lots of painkillers, but first a proper tl;dr blog post!
Today, I impulse bought like a man possessed. I bought myself a "magic wand" Playstation Move, navigation controller and a dual charging station. Playstation Move is basically the Wii on steroids, I got a bluray full of demos and some of them are completely insane. I have a feeling that my room is a bit too small for it, because I managed to screw up Tiger Woods 2011 demo (Woods holding the club the wrong way with his arms all twisted was bizarre) and I managed to mis-calibrate it about 5 times when trying to play Kung-Fu Riders. When I got it working, however, it was hilarious and really good fun.
There doesn't seem to be anything actually for Playstation Move that is new or different (it's just the usual bowling and sports games, etc) but I can certainly see the potential in it. A lot of games coming out at the end of the year and the beginning of next will be using it, plus there'll be the odd silly thing like Ape Escape (which would be awesome!) So I'm pleased with it. The only thing that concerns me is how damn bright the LED on the end of the wand thing itself is, it's like this blindingly bright pink light! It's a shame there's no way (that I've found) to change the colour or brightness of it. I'll play with it more tomorrow and if I remember, I'll write a bit more about it.
Other than the move, and losing (yet again) at Magic the Gathering, not much happened today. Although, I think I might have trapped a nerve in my right hand as my thumb is twitching like mad. My current main Magic deck, on paper sounds insane, it's a health/mana building white/artifact deck with a lot of scary cards in it, and thanks to Harry, it'll no doubt become much more awesome as it goes on. I picked up some insanely rare cards this week, as well as some ancient (2007 Tenth "X" Edition) cards, which I haven't actually sorted out yet.
I swear I was going to write about something else here, maybe about the books I'm currently reading. I'm still reading Ring by Koji Suzuki, I haven't really felt motivated to read lately, but I'm sure I'll get round to it. I also picked up Stephen Fry's new book (on iBooks) as well, which I will read after Ring, I love my iPad just as much as when I got it, like now I'm using it to write this post! On Monday it's my last counselling session, but I haven't yet had my psychiatric evaluation, so I have nothing really to talk about, except work and how the doctors are handling everything at the moment.
I have to have a medical for ESA, which is worrying me a little, because I have no idea what they're going to do to me and I hate new doctors and new hospitals. No doubt I'll drag mum along for medical history knowledge as she remembers things better than I do. Occupational Health at work are also going to reassess my case, at last. A nice random email from them asking for my consent to talk to my doctors again... Ok... Well, I won't be going back to work (so the doctor says) so Occupational Health will have to think of something! Nothing is ever easy, is it?
Well, in closing, I'll just mention my love for subway tuna footlongs, they are awesome, especially with a ton of pickles, some carrot, lettuce, tomato and sweetcorn! :) yum. I can never get tuna to taste the same and I can't work out why... Oh well! TTYL.
