Magic, Life Balance

Today was my initial interview for my Balance for Life "course" I had a full fluid, body fat, BMI, lean tissue weight measure and it was surprisingly good! I'm still 20kg overweight, but on top of losing 5kg the other week, I've lost another 4kg! Which means I should get down to my optimal weight (of 100-110kg/220-240lbs) by the end of the year, which is awesome! My fluid levels were quite low, the lady told me that I should have 50ltrs of water, but I only had 33, which made me dehydrated. My lean weight is perfect, so it's just fat that I need to cut down. Talk about a huge boost in self-esteem! Plus talking to someone new about my condition from the beginning and getting sympathy was nice. Unfortunately there's not much I can do gym-wise, but I'm willing to try. Hopefully this 12 week session will get my weight down to what it needs to be.

My collection of Magic the Gathering cards has grown quite a lot. My card count stands at about 760 and I have a few more on the way. I need to promise myself that I won't buy too many, as they can get very expensive very quickly. I won't be buying individual cards though, as that is quite sad, plus you lose the fun of finding the card you want in a booster pack. The game itself I think is fantastic fun to play, even when you lose, as it shows you the weaknesses in your deck and where you can improve it. I have coming some Tenth Edition boosters as well as some M11s and a couple of other bits and bobs (such as card protectors) and I think that will be it for a while!

Last Friday I saw a different GP. Unfortunately, she couldn't take me on as her patient, however, she will see me as and when she can. I feel this GP better understands the physical problems I have rather than focusing on the mental issues only. She has also given me an out, by being my sick note provider. She, like my boss (and myself) feels that I won't be able to work anymore. With how my condition is progressing and as long as I can keep myself occupied mentally is willing to sign me off.

I went to see Scott Pilgrim again Friday evening and the cinema was empty. It was fantastic seeing the film with no distractions, I was really able to get completely immersed in the film and enjoy it a lot more. I can't wait until it comes out on Bluray/DVD as I will no doubt watch it all the time. I've never had a favourite film before and now I have two! It's awesome. I love that I can watch it several times and see different things and more references.

Not much going on this week, it all seems to be going on next week. I can't wait to play more Magic with Harry and I really want to get more people interested in playing it!
