This evening was pretty shocking. I didn't get to relax or anything. Mum got a text message from her friend asking if I could come over and sort out her computer. Reluctantly Mum and I went and what we faced was a bit weird... Turns out Mum's friend had NO idea we were coming and it was her son using her phone pretending to be her. Just to get Sims 3 working... Didn't even say 'thanks' either, just "can I install custom content now?" but he I told him he couldn't because I had to bypass the launcher (the launcher doesn't work on that computer for some reason)...
Something good about this evening, the iPad Wifi+3G model came out in US and seeing the unboxing and general awesomeness is really getting me hyped up for my "lesser" Wifi one. I can't wait to be watching movies on it and playing games! For most day to day things it's going to replace my MacBook, like now, I'd be blogging from the iPad!
It's just under 8 days until I'm in America again, I really, really can't wait. I'm going to treat Myriam as much as I can. I'm buying her an iPod Classic (her request, I offered any she wanted) and I'm going to get her a new USB hub which she desperately needs and probably a new mouse because the one she had before was dire. I'm also going to try and sort her wireless network out when I'm there, drop 5ghz N and have 2.4ghz a/b/g/n compatibility mode only as it's MUCH more stable.
